How To Prepare Mini Bundt Cake Recipes Vanilla?

Preparation Time: 15 minutes.

Cooking Time: 35 minutes.

Serving Size: 12 mini bundt cakes.

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

For Frosting

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 12 mini bundt pans or muffin tins (to save yourself a lot of trouble, prepare a day in advance).

Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

Step 3: Cream butter and sugar until smooth in another large bowl. Beat eggs one at a time, then stir in sour cream and vanilla extract until combined.

Step 4: Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, mixing just until combined and scraping down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula.

Step 5: Divide batter evenly among 12 prepared mini bundt pans (about 1/3 cup each).

Step 6: Bake at 350 degrees F. for 18 to 20 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks for 15 minutes, then remove cakes from pans; cool entirely on wire racks.

To make the frosting:

Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine butter and powdered sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add milk and vanilla and beat until combined.

Step 2: Pipe or spread frosting onto cooled mini bundts while they are still warm (or they will rub the frosting off).

Step 3: Place the cakes on decorative cake plates or paper napkins to finish them off.

How Much Do You Fill Mini Bundt Pans?

Fill each mini bundt pan about 1/3 of the way. If you don’t fill them up, they will bake faster and come out in better shape.

It is best to bake them when they are not complete, or they could spill over in your oven. My recipe fills my pans exactly to 1/3 of the way comprehensive.

Why Are Bundt Cakes So Dry?

Often bundt cakes are dry because they are baked in a too-small pan. If your mini bundt pans don’t fit the total volume in your oven, then your cakes will cook unevenly and dry out because of the hot air escaping through the edge.

Ensure you use your total baking volume for every recipe to avoid under or over-cooking.

Can You Use Regular Cake Mix In A Bundt Pan?

No! It’s a waste of time. It would be best if you made mini bundt cake recipes because they are much better. Don’t use any boxed cake mixture or mix for cakes that call for dry ingredients.

It will turn out a cake with no taste and could even be harmful to eat. I suggest you make mini bundt cake recipes with real butter and sugar, not margarine or shortening, as a regular cake mix would use.

Is It Better To Take A Bundt Cake Out Of The Pan Hot Or Cold?

If you take the mini bundt cake out of the pan hot, it will be very soft. The top usually ends up squished against the side of the pan.

Let it cool in the pan on a wire rack for 20-30 minutes before removing it from the pan. My recipe takes about 30 minutes to cook in a 350-degree oven.

Is It Better To Grease A Pan With Butter Or Spray?

The spray is not as good as real butter. The spray gives off an odour and can leave a taste in your recipes. The spray doesn’t always coat evenly, so the sides of your mini bundt cake may burn before the middle is done.

Butter greases evenly and won’t leave an aftertaste in your recipe. I never use the spray in my kitchen. I use real butter or shortening that doesn’t have any harmful ingredients in it.

How To Serve Mini Bundt Cake Recipes Vanilla?

I recommend serving the mini bundt cakes when they are warm because the frosting will still be soft. It will keep longer if you let them cool before frosting and do it with a cup of tea or coffee.

You can use Pam. But it still gets sticky and leaves a residue on your cake. I recommend using real butter or the type of shortening that doesn’t have any aftertaste.

Can I Use Parchment Paper Instead Of Buttering The Pan?

You can use parchment paper. I don’t recommend using paper towels because they are made with bleach, which could leave an aftertaste in your cake batter.

Can You Overfill A Bundt Pan?

It would help if you didn’t overfill a Bundt pan because the cake batter would overflow in the oven and spill out.
