Ingredients Vanilla Bundt Cake Recipes:

  • Two cups (400g) unsalted butter at room temperature.
  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • Three teaspoons of pure vanilla extract.
  • Three large eggs, at room temperature, lightly beaten.
  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

For Topping:

  • 3 cups (360g) confectioners’ sugar, sifted (more if needed)
  • 2-3 tablespoons of cream, half and half, milk or water.

How To Make Vanilla Bundt Cake Recipes?

For Cake:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C, or gas mark 4). Butter, flour, and lightly mist a 10-inch bundt pan with vegetable oil.

Step 2: Place butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.

With the mixer on low speed, beat in vanilla extract. Add eggs 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Step 3: In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. With the mixer on low speed, alternately add dry ingredients to the butter mixture in 3 additions and buttermilk in 2 additions, starting with dry ingredients.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Do not over-mix, or your cake will be tough. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.

Step 4: Bake for about 50 minutes or until the wooden pick inserted in the center comes clean. Cool the cake in a cake pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan and cool it on the wire rack.

Step 5: Prepare topping ingredients and spread them over the cake. Replace cake in pan.

For Topping:

Step 1: Sift confectioners’ sugar into a medium bowl. Stir in enough cream, half-and-half, milk, or water until desired consistency is reached.

Step 2: Sprinkle the top of the cake with confectioners’ sugar.

Note: We have used the confectioners’ sugar to ensure that the cake gets crumbly, not too moist, and, thus, not too soft. You may also use granulated sugar instead.
