Making Method

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350ºf. Grease and flour 3 9″ round cake pans or one 10″x15″ rectangle pan.

Step 2: Sift the flour, baking soda and salt into a medium bowl. Set Aside.

Step 3: In a large bowl beat butter and sugar until light in color and fluffy, about 2 minutes on medium speed with an electric or stand mixer.

Add in beaten eggs one at a time mixing for about 30 seconds after each addition. Beat in vanilla extract or paste. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.

Step 4: On low speed, add flour mixture to butter mixture alternating with heavy cream. Start and end with flour mixture. Beat just until the batter is smooth and completely mixed after each addition.
