  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For garnish:

  • Fresh lavender sprigs
  • Lemon zest


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans and set aside.

  10. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, alternating with the infused milk, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  11. Once the cakes are completely cooled, spread a layer of frosting on top of one cake layer. Place the second cake layer on top and frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining frosting.
