For Cake:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt; mix until combined. Pour in egg whites; lightly beat until blended. Add ⅓ cup sugar; blend well.

Step 2: Add almonds and the remaining ⅔ cup sugar to the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade; pulse until finely chopped. Stir nuts into batter. Add vanilla and cinnamon, mixing well.
