Coffee Cake Cookie Recipe

A coffee cake cookie recipe consists of a coffee cake batter mixed with cream cheese and baked.

The result gives the cookie a moist, frosting-like texture and a combination taste of the coffee cake and cream cheese flavors.

This recipe uses some ingredients you might already have in your pantry, like brown sugar, flour, baking powder, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.

It’s a simple dessert to whip up and is one of my favorites.

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cubed

For the glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk

Making Method Steps By Steps :

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Set aside..

3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and beat until well combined.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the sour cream, ensuring it is fully incorporated into the dough.

6. In a separate small bowl, prepare the streusel topping. Mix together the flour, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.

Add the cold cubed butter and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut it into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

7. Using a tablespoon or a cookie scoop, drop rounded portions of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

8. Sprinkle a generous amount of the streusel topping over each cookie, gently pressing it into the dough.

9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

10. While the cookies are cooling, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until you achieve a smooth, pourable consistency.

11. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies, allowing it to set before serving.
