Sweet Chocolate Brownie Cake Recipe

A chocolate brownie cake recipe is a very sweet, dense cake that contains chocolate chips and is traditionally frosted with a light chocolate frosting.

The brownie will be moist and chewy, with the cake being denser than most types of cake. This will be perfect if you’re looking for a recipe for birthday cakes or baby showers.

How To Prepare Chocolate Brownie Cake Recipe?

Preparation Time: 45 minutes

Cooking Time: 35 minutes

Serving Size: 16

  • large mixing bowl,
  • cake rack,
  • 8 x 4 inch (2 L) square baking pan,
  • 2 – 3 inches round spring form pan

Ingredients For Chocolate Brownie Cake Recipe:

  • 3/4 cups (1 1/2 sticks or 170 grams) of unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 cups (400 grams) of white sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup (100 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces (350 grams) of semisweet chocolate chips

Chocolate Filling:

  • 12 ounces (350 grams) of semisweet chocolate chips or chocolate bar (about 4-5 quarters)
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) half-and-half cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions For Chocolate Brownie Cake Recipe:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F or 180°C and line an 8 x 4 inch (2 L) square baking pan with parchment paper.

Step 2: Put a small bowl on top of your mixer and set it aside. In the bowl of a mixer, combine the chocolate chips and half&half the cream and stir until smooth.

Add in vanilla extract and mix until well combined. Set aside.

Step 3: In the bowl of a mixer, cream butter on medium speed until smooth, 1-2 minutes. Reduce the rate to medium-low and gradually add in the sugar.

Next, add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. The mixture may appear curdled as you add the eggs. This is normal.

After adding the eggs all the way, about 2 minutes later, add vanilla extract and mix until combined.

Step 4: In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Add half of the flour and half of the chocolate mixture and stir until evenly combined.

Add in more of the flour mixture and chocolate mixture, alternating, until all is added. Stir again with a large wooden spoon until even. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.

Step 5: Bake for about 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs attached.

Remove from oven and allow to rest for about 10 minutes before removing from pan to cool completely on a wire rack.

Step 6: Place chocolate chips in a saucepan and melt over medium-low heat to make the filling. Stir in half & half the cream and vanilla extract until melted and smooth.

Step 7: To make the swirls, run a knife through the top of the cooled brownie square in 2 or 3 places, cutting down a third of the way into it.

It is poured slowly and carefully over the top of each cut so that it pools in the middle. Repeat this process 2 more until you have a good portion pooled in the middle.

Step 8: To make cupcakes line a muffin tin with liners. Spoon in batter until 3/4 full and drop the chocolate chip with a small spoon.

Place a piece of wax paper over the top of the batter and use a small spoon to drop on more chocolate chips. Top with more batter until 3/4 full.

Place liners on top of the cupcake tin and bake at 350°F for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool cupcakes in the pan for 10 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.

What Is The Difference Between Brownie And Chocolate Cake?

A chocolate brownie cake recipe is almost the same as a chocolate cake recipe. The main difference is that brownies usually do not contain leavening agents,

such as baking soda or baking powder. At the same time, most cakes use these ingredients to give volume and lightness to cake.

What Is The Secret Of A Good Brownie?

These ingredients give the cake its lightness and volume. I hope that you enjoyed this recipe and it encourages you to try some more recipes from my blog.

Should I Bake Brownies On Top Or Bottom?

A general rule for baking with a round pan is to always bake on the bottom. If you are using a square pan, I own an 8-inch square pan, and I know that there are other sizes

and shapes of pans out there, so you will want to follow the manufacturer’s directions for your specific pan.

I have also found that it is easier to maintain evenly cooked results if you bake in the centre of the oven.

Why Is It Called A Brownie?

This question is very unclear. Some people say that it’s because the colour of the batter is brown. Others say it was named for a judge called Mabelle Brown

, and I have come across many more explanations for the title. One of my favourites is, “The internet says it’s because they are hard, like brownies.”

Chocolate brownie cake recipes are a type of confectionery dessert and are usually made with chocolate as the main ingredient.

There is a wide variety of brownie recipes that can be found online. However, their unique texture makes them unique, which each person finds appealing.
